11.13.2021 | 11:52 PM | SEAL BEACH – Just before midnight, units from the California Highway Patrol along with firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority were dispatched to a traffic collision past the Seal Beach Boulevard off ramp of the southbound 405 Freeway in Seal Beach.
Arriving units discovered a two vehicle crash involving a Honda S-2000 and a Volkswagen sedan.
The Honda was fully engulfed in flames, and according to witnesses two parties were trapped in the car and unfortunately passed away at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center and is in critical condition.
Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash and intoxication is suspected at this time.
